The Greek tortoise (Testudo graeca) is a classic Mediterranean species, popular for its manageable size and charming personality. 

- Diet: High fiber diet of leafy greens, weeds, and occasional flowers
- Habitat: Warm, dry environment with UVB lighting and access to shaded areas
- Adult Size: Typically 15–20 cm, slightly variable depending on subspecies
- Temperament: Calm and hardy, suitable for both beginner and experienced reptile keepers
